March 10th-11th - Wednesday-Thursday - 30 Hour Famine We will be together, fasting, and raising money for Starving Children worldwide along with thousands of other youth groups around the world. This event will be over on Thursday @ 6pm. See Robbie Runyon for further details. (Was originally scheduled for Feb 26-27th - has been moved to March 10-11th - a Wednesday-Thursday during your Spring Break)
Youth-A-Rama - We're no longer attending Youth-A-Rama - we will be attending Extravaganza & summer camp instead of YAR - it's a money thing & the value for our money thing. So, SAVE your money for Extravaganza & Camp instead & for next summer's NYC.
Saturday, March 27th - Roman Banquet - Get your togas ready! The teens will be the slaves - to serve our guests their meals, to wash their feet, and give us all some insight as to how life was in the life of a Jew, in the Roman occupied Israel, during the life of Jesus. We will be selling tickets in advance for this event. Tickets will be $10 each (Children 12 & under free) This is a fundraiser event for Extravaganza.
Sunday, April 4th - Easter
Sunday night, April 18th - Anglo & Hispanic Youth Groups leading evening service. Please see Robbie about how you are going to participate in this service - singing in the praise team, leading in prayer, taking the offering, running the sound, running the slides, singing solo, playing your instrument, reading the scripture, giving your testimony, being in a drama, etc.
May 28-31st, Friday - Monday - Extravaganza - Regional Wide Youth Event at our Church college - Southern Nazarene University. More details as we get closer...
June 14-18th - CRAVE District NYI Junior High & High School Camp @ Camp Arrowhead in Glen Rose, TX - - Cost $195 (Must register & Pay by May 24th)
Summer of 2011 - Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC)-will be in Louisville, KY
Be saving your money for this event - it will be expensive, but will be worth every penny - this is always a fantastic adventure in your spiritual life - a do NOT miss kind of event.
